You can set parameters to load enrichment variables in the URL.
Standard parameter
There are several standard parameters you can use without any additional setup. For example:
-
code
(This populates the login field for the access setting “Only codes from list” or “Participant enters their own code”) -
ref
(This populates the referrer field)
Example: https://q.crowdtech.com/dgdg69876dsg?ref=test -
email
(This populates the login field for the access setting “Only email addresses from list” or “Participant enters their own email address”)
If you are using an access panel or sending invitations through your own email system, you can simply add the parameters above to the URL. There is no need to create these parameters separately.
Create parameter
- Make sure that enrichment variables have been created by the import of data enrichment columns . To do this, go to "Participants" and "Import" in the Menu. The data enrichment columns can also be loaded without values.
- Indicate per enrichment variable whether this variable with a URL parameter be filled. Create a unique name for each parameter, which is included in the questionnaire URL is filled with a value. Parameter names that are already reserved (eg un unique) are not allowed.
- Use short names for the parameters to get the maximum length for a questionnaire URL not to be exceeded. Be cautious about sending sensitive data via the questionnaire URL.
- If the checkmark 'allow overwriting' is checked, the value will be of the parameter from the questionnaire URL the existing value of the concerned respondent on the enrichment variables.
- Click "Save".
Create parameter for profile variables:
If you have set profile variables in Community, they will be shown under 'Available profile variables'. Read more about creating profile variables. Only profile variables with open answers are possible and are listed under 'Available profile variables'.
Indicate for each profile variable whether this variable is filled with a URL parameter. You do this by entering a short, unique name for each profile variable under 'Parameter'.
Check the box under 'Overwrite' if you want to overwrite the information in the profile variables. The profile variables are then populated with the value of the parameter in the survey URL, even if the profile variables already contain values.
Click on 'Save'.
You will now see that the link at the top has changed. behind the question mark in the link you will see the name you set under 'Parameter', for example 'Social='. You can place a value behind this, for example 'Social=Instagram'. As soon as a respondent clicks on the link, the value 'Instagram' is filled in the profile variable. You can find the filled profile variables per respondent in Community in your member export. Read more about exporting members.
