Go to 'Survey' and 'Survey' in the menu. Go through the following steps to create a survey.
- Enter a survey name
The survey name is only visible to the survey administrator. Choose a recognizable name of the research and use, for example, the creation date of the search in the name (YYYY_MM_DD_NAME). Do you work with several colleagues the same environment? Then agree on a fixed name structure.
- Enter a display name
The display name is visible in our Community tool . Are you using this? Then choose a recognizable name here for the respondents
- Choose a start and end date of the survey
Set the duration of the study. The default set run time is two months. You can adjust the date by clicking on the desired day in the calendar. You can adjust these data before, during and after the research.
- Set the access
You can give respondents access to the survey in various ways. While testing the survey, it is advisable to "No login required" to use.
- Select the desired language
Set the language in which notifications appear in Survey. This includes to the notifications in the survey, the language of the email's disclaimer and the unsubscribe / comments page.
There are two variants in Dutch: "Dutch" means respondents formal (u-form) and with "Dutch Youth" you get informal notifications (you-form).

Choose the layout you want
Choose the layout for the survey here. You can use the standard layouts from Crowdtech or create, view and manage your own layouts in the layout manager. *
- Optional: Text on home page
Enter a text on the home page. Here you can welcome the respondent and explain the purpose of the study. This text can contain a maximum of 3000 characters.
Don't want to show a start page? Then click "Home page" under "Extra options" to skip'.
- Optional: Text of start link
This is the clickable link on the home page that you can use to start the survey.
- Optional: Text on last page
After the survey you can add extra text. Here you can, for example thank the respondent for participating in the survey. Don't fill anything here in? Then at the end of the survey, the respondent sees depending on the language setting "Thank you for your time" or "Thank you for your time". This text can contain a maximum of 2000 characters.
Click on "Save". You have created a survey and can now add questions.
- Optional: Alternative text in closed survey
After the end date of the survey, the respondent will receive a standard notification that the survey has been closed. If you tick the box for alternative text in closed survey, you can you can enter your own text and enrichment variables. This text can contain a maximum of 1000 characters.
