When users log in via Single Sign-On (SSO), they can collaborate on a survey within the same management environment. Read more about SSO. Collaboration between different management environments is not possible. Users can only be invited to collaborate if they are already known within the management environment. To be recognized, users must have logged in at least once.
The person who created the survey is the owner of the survey and can invite other users to collaborate. Invited users cannot invite additional users to the survey.
Enabling the Collaboration Feature for Users
The collaboration feature is available to users who have been assigned a role with the 'Collaboration' permission enabled. Read more about roles and permissions.
Inviting Another User to Collaborate
If you are the owner of a survey, you can invite other users to collaborate on the survey:
-
In the survey, go to 'Survey' and then 'Collaboration'
-
Click on 'Invite new users'
-
Enter the email address of the user you want to invite and click 'Save'
-
The survey will immediately be available to the invited user. Just like the owner, this user can create questions, make changes, view and download results, etc. However, the invited user cannot invite others.
-
Be sure to inform the invited user of the collaboration by sending them a message yourself.
-
Did you invite the wrong person? Click the trash icon next to the email address to remove the user.
Advanced: The Owner of a Survey No Longer Has Access to Crowdtech
If a user, for example, leaves the organization, their access to the organizational system is revoked. As a result, they can no longer use their work account and are therefore unable to log in to Crowdtech via SSO.
If this user was the owner of a survey, they will remain listed as the owner, but will no longer have access to the survey. It is not possible to assign a new owner to a survey.
Invited users cannot add other users to a survey. However, an admin user can. Through user management, admins can assign new users to a survey. Read more about user management.
