Preparation (mandatory from Meta)
1. Provide a new phone number
The number must never have been used for WhatsApp before, not even for private use.
2. Meta Business Account
Make sure you have an active Meta Business Account. Read the instructions to create a business account.
Link the WhatsApp phone number to this Business Account. Read the instructions to link a phone number.
3. Personal Facebook account
A personal Facebook account is required to manage the Meta Business Account. Meta uses this for authentication, security, and to hold a physical person responsible for business actions. Read how to add an account to the Meta Business Account.
WhatsApp Activation
4. Go to Crowdtech Survey and open an existing survey or create a new one. In the left menu, click on Communication and then click on WhatsApp at the top.
5. Click on “Login 360Dialog”. You will be redirected to our partner 360Dialog.
6. Create your own 360Dialog account using the email address of the Facebook account linked to the Meta Business Account (see step 3).
7. Complete the verification steps. You will receive a confirmation by email. Approval from Meta can take up to 48 days, but usually takes between 1 and 7 business days.
8. In Crowdtech Survey, go to a survey and click on Communication and WhatsApp. Check whether the WhatsApp API is set to active (green).
Activating Templates
9. Inform Crowdtech (support@crowdtech.com) that the account is ready.
10. We will activate the standard templates. These are reviewed and approved by Meta, usually within 10 minutes, sometimes up to 24 hours or longer.
