In the menu, go to 'Results' and 'Response'. Here you will find an overview of the respondents per day, net participants and the net response of the survey.
Respondents per day
View the number of respondents participated per day here. This is shown both in graph form and per day in a table.
Net number of participants
The net number of participants in the survey is calculated as follows: subtract the number of respondents loaded into a survey (gross number of participants) by the number of respondents not reached (the bouncers).
- Net number of participants = Gross number of participants - (soft bouncers + hard bouncers)
Hard bouncer: The email is returned to the sender because the email address is invalid. Email addresses flagged as hard bouncers are not invited to new surveys for three months. If you write to email addresses that don't exist too often, email providers may mark your email as spam.
Soft bouncer: Soft bounce email is recognized by the receiving mail server, but is returned to the sender. The cause may vary: the recipient's inbox may be full, an out-of-office message may have been set, the mail server may be temporarily unavailable or the recipient may no longer have an email account at that address.
To gain insight into the exact addresses that have a hard or soft bounce, you can click on 'Download' under 'Net participants'. Here you will find an overview of all bounces in a csv file.
Net response rate
To calculate the net response rate, we look at the number of respondents who completed the survey relative to the net number of participants.
- % Net response = (number of completes / net number of participants) * 100
The net response rate can be found at 'Completes'.
