Speech-to-text
With the speech-to-text functionality, respondents can dictate their answers instead of typing them. In Responsive Survey, a microphone icon appears next to supported open answer fields. Spoken text is automatically converted into written text and can be edited afterwards if required.
Speech-to-text is available for all open answer fields, including:
- Single-response questions with an open answer (small and large)
- Multi-response questions with an open answer (small and large)
- Open questions (small and large)
- Input fields
- Table questions with open answer fields
Enabling speech-to-text
- Add a question with an open answer field.
- Open the Extra tab.
- Enable the Allow audio recording for answers option.
In Responsive Survey, respondents will see a microphone icon next to the answer field. By clicking the icon, they can dictate their answer. After recording, the spoken text is automatically converted into text and can be edited if necessary.
The speech-to-text functionality supports multiple languages.
