Easily create beautiful emails in Survey's new email editor. With eight content blocks, you easily shape an email the way you want it. For example, you can choose from a banner, blocks of images and text or a place for the company logo. Drag the desired block into the email and edit the text directly in the editor. Images can be chosen directly from the media manager and resized appropriately.
Create email with content blocks
- Choose a 'Sender name', a 'Sender address' (optional) , a 'Subject' and a 'Characteristic' (optional).
- Choose the format ‘Basic’.
- Fill the content of the email by dragging the desired content blocks into the email. By default a text with the link to the survey is ready. You can further format this email yourself with the blocks. You can choose from:
- Logo central: default logo;
- Banner: wide image;
- Title content; title with default text and link to the survey;
- Title + subtitle;
- Image left, text right;
- Image right, text left;
- Separation line: to separate different parts in the email;
- Two columns with images and text.
- Button: formatting a button and link.
4. Each block has the option that allows you to: - change the order of the blocks ();
- copy the block and content ();
- delete the block and content ().
5. By default, the email contains an invitation link with the text ‘Proceed to participate immediately’. Under ‘Link type’, select the ‘URL’ option. This hyperlink contains the text ##URL##. This code will automatically send a personalized link to the respondent. Want to change the text for the invitation link? Select the invitation link text and select the hyperlink icon. Adjust the text here and under ‘Link Type’ select ‘URL’ and under ‘Protocol’ select ‘Other’.
6. Select the ‘Email message type’.
7. Select the 'Send date.' This date should be in the future.
8. Choose the ‘Send time’. You can choose from different time slots. Approximately 15 minutes before the set send time, the emails are prepared to be sent. So the sending can only be undone up to 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
9. Optional: send a test email to yourself to check the email. The e-mail will appear in your inbox in a few minutes.
10. Is the e-mail ready to send? Then select the status of the e-mail. The status of the e-mail message defaults to ‘in process’. Set the status to ‘Final’ to have the e-mail sent.
11. Click on 'Save.
Additional options
Center disclaimer
A disclaimer is displayed by default in every email you send from the Survey environment. Check this option if you want to center the disclaimer. Survey Pro offers the option to turn off the disclaimer.
Automatic Mailing
Allows you to send emails automatically from Survey. If you have the survey access set to ‘Email addresses from list only’ you can send respondents an invitation to the survey directly. If you also include a data enrichment column with the send date when importing the email addresses, the system can send the invitation on that date if desired. After this import, go to “Communication” in the menu and create an invitation email. Make sure the date format matches the notation of the dates in the data enrichment column. If they do not match, emails will not be sent.
Copy Email
Copy an email within the same Survey or to another Survey to reuse a previously created template.
